| An action that we have taken to support our school’s learning focus is: | On this day, we were given time and space to reflect and collaborate on our literacy journey at Whiteside. Our professional learning focused on reading comprehension strategies and our struggling readers. Working with a Teacher-Consultant, we accessed targeted professional support for our primary and intermediate teams. Teachers had an opportunity to collaborate in language (French & English) and grade groups. They reviewed literacy data gathered and created learning plans that directly address the comprehension needs in their classroom. |
