Welcome back! We hope you had a wonderful summer break making memories with family and friends. We are so excited to see all our students next week and hear about their summer adventures!

Here is some key information to help you prepare for a smooth and happy first week back.

First Day of School (Grades 1-7)
Our first day back for students in Grades 1-7 is Tuesday, September 2nd, and it's a short day!

Time: 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

Where to Go: Please meet on the large grass field at the back of the school.

What to Expect:

Returning students will find their teacher from last year.

New students will be warmly welcomed and guided to their groups.

At 11:00 a.m., teachers will dismiss students from the field and let you know which doors to use for the rest of the week.

Please note: Kindergarten students follow a separate gradual entry schedule. Please refer to the kindergarten-specific email for details.

First Full Day & Weekly Info
Wednesday, September 3rd, will be the first full day for students in Grades 1-7.

What to Bring: Please send your child with a water bottle, snack, and lunch.

School Supplies: No need to bring any! All supplies are provided by the school. Once students are settled into their classes, information will be sent home about this year’s school fees, which covers school supplies.

Class placements may be finalized as early as Friday, September 5^th. Families will be notified of their child’s new pick-up location through an email.

Student verification forms, permission forms, and information packages will be sent home during the week of September 8^th – 12^th, after class placements are finalized.

Breakfast & Lunch Program: This program will begin on September 15th. If your family would like to request support from this program, please contact our principal, Brett Cameron, at bcameron@sd38.bc.ca. This is not a hot meal service designed to accommodate all children. Meal options and delivery may change from last year’s model. All requests are confidential.
